im in the "wish i had em earlier" camp assuming the same partner. i was not prepared for how much a kid would change me - so i spent more of my time and effort on priorities i would one day drop. another thing i think about is grandparents. having kids earlier would mean longer time with grandparents! (heck, maybe one day my time with potential grandkids) off topic - i understand my parents so much more now that im a parent. i think being a parent has helped heal my relationship with them. grandparents are awesome and i wish i had more time with mine.
