Show HN: PlugClaw – Private AI agent hardware for any phone or PC
- PedroMotta 29d agoThis looks very interesting, does it run a model locally or it's just a harness that we link to other paid models?
- darkreader 29d agoIt’s a bit more than a harness for paid models. PlugClaw is actually a thumb-sized Android computer that runs an AI agent in an isolated OS. It bridges the Android OS and AI Agent OS through a GUI agent and Android-use layer. Quick tasks run locally through small LLMs, while complex agent loops use cloud LLMs via BYOK (bring your own key) or confidential cloud models. The point isn’t just calling APIs, but giving the agent an isolated, dedicated sandbox to operate apps and run workflows, while using your phone or laptop as the display and input.
- PedroMotta 29d agoThank you for the explanation. Will definitely order one to try it out.
- tuatoru 29d agoTagline: "What You Really Need Is an AI That Gets Things Done" Does not have a mechanical arm or any ability to move itself.
- darkreader 29d agoYeah, it is actually a portable AI agent computer, not physical AI.
- bigblind 29d agoThis looks interesting, but I'm also getting to the point wherethings like the video having a clearly AI-generated voiceover turns me off a bit. Like, if you're excited to tell me about your product, tell me yourself.
