I am not apolotical, how could one be really? It's more like the whole topic is so full of hate, propaganda, missleading information from all sides that it's either I spend a few weeks or months reading into the history of it or I better don't develop a strong opinion because I likely would be wrong in many points. No idea where everyone is taking the time from to read up the whole history of things when they publicly propagate their strong opinions about all these complex situations. To clarify I have an opinion, but I am aware that my opinion is only based on some obvious facts and ignores a lot of the history, so I don't consider it worth fighting for.

  It's complicated... but people don't like the mass bombing of kids. That's not complicated.

    I get where you are going at, but in the conflict we talk about I am pretty sure both sides are killing children right now. So still complicated. So is the US bombing children in Iran and many other countries in the past years. Is the US the pure evil now? Maybe, but I don't claim to have a final opinion there either

      It's not that complicated. 123 died in Iran School bombing event. At least 21,600 Gazan children have died since the beginning of the war [UNICEF] in many events over a long period of time. 21,600 > 123 (Both involved US tax dollars)

        Puhh those numbers are sooooo much higher in reality. Just abrubtly defunding USAID alone killed over 600,000+ people two thirds children. https://archive.ph/Im0GE https://archive.ph/Im0GE

        I agree that aid saves lives and support it, and think some of the people behind cutting it are basically evil... ... but the ethical difference between not giving something to kids versus dropping bombs on kids isn't hard to spot.

As allied against nazis? Not complicated. Fighting russia's invasion of Ukraine? Not complicated. Fighting against Palestinian resistance to their genocide? Complicated. But like South African apartheid turned from complicated to simple over a few decades so you will be dragged along eventually by us "political" people. It even works with other things too, like people starving on the streets or ~25k people dying from no health care every year, its "complicated", it will always be complicated (until it isn't).

      Perhaps in 20 years from now you can remember to think about if you made the right choice today and if your opposition rather than apathy wouldn't have prevented some of the killings. You know for the next genocide supported by our government.
