since this is about fuel consumption I assume that it doesn't apply to EVs
- dmitrygr 29d agoEnergy consumption. EVs being heavier, it actually matters more for them
- spullara 29d agothe energy consumption of EVs is already massively below gas vehicles. also, as others have pointed out, their tires already are within the regulations.
- dmitrygr 29d agothis regulation is about replacement tires, which people buy... EV owners could (before this) also buy tires that no longer comply with this new regulation
- klaff 29d agoEVs are already using tires which are optimized for low rolling resistance because when you make the car that much more efficient, smaller losses become more visible.
