Well, NAM would only be successful with two power centers. One of the power centers disappeared which precipitated this state. It has nothing to do with the state as such.
- HexDecOctBin 1mo agoIndia has gotten more powerful since the Cold War. If Iran can stand up to USA, then surely India can too; but only if the State has not sold its soul and its Nation.
- whateverboat 29d agoIndia's per capita income is still only 1/6th of the world average. Iran can stand up to USA with a lot of destruction, which is exactly what is happening with India. Indian numbers look impressive just because of the size of the population and demographic dividend and 90's information technology. However, successive governments have squandered all of those benefits, and the bad infrastructure, bad governance and badly educated population is coming to bite them back. Things do not look good for India at all. I was born and lived in India till around a decade ago, everytime I go to India, I just see more potential being wasted and things become worse (even though they appear good on paper). India's GDP in 2020 is for the first time back at the 1965 levels (in relation to the world GDP) and now climate change is going to wreak havoc and things will get worse again. I hope to be proven wrong but I'm sorely disappointed everytime.
