What exactly needs to happen for it to be a concern? Personally, no, there's nothing too bothersome to me about McDonald's having my purchase history. But I don't want anyone else to have it, and since nobody seems to be able to successfully prevent exfiltration, then actually I don't want McDonald's to have it (or store it, at least, and associate it with me). Oh, and I'd prefer restaurants to compete for my business on the basis of their food, not their IT departments.
