- xhkkffbf 1mo agoThe Amiga was an awesome machine. And the OS was part of the reason it was able to deliver such good video.
- vardump 1mo agoYou could develop real C programs. Partially thanks to AmigaDOS.
- icedchai 1mo agoSame! AmigaDOS (based on TRIPOS) was the first OS with a "real" command line that I used. It was also where I learned C.
- marsten 1mo agoI too learned C on an Amiga 1000. Somehow I scrounged together $300 to buy the Lattice C compiler and all its manuals – a steep price in 1985-86. Funny to think that much better tools are now free.
