I don't think its right. The author is not wrong, there has been a resurgence of smoking tobacco. Anecdotally, I see it a lot more pretty mush outside any bar, club, party. And not just vapes, cigarettes. It's cool again, as are fancy accessories for it

And that's coming from the CDC (ie. people with a strong interest in saying smoking is a problem).

'Exclusively' smoke cigarettes is the key phrase there. I'm sure use is way down over 60 years period, but my point was 1. I have noticed a recent uptick 2. It is not uncool anymore, so there is less hiding it and subsequently accessories are getting popular
