I was running on a treadmill a few weeks back, and was knackered so stopped abruptly by jumping into a straddle position with my legs on the rails either side of the actual band on the treadmill. My smartwatch interpreted this as a fall and sent a red alert to my daughter.
- notsmarthuh 1mo agoDoesn't sound very "smart" to me.
- marcta 1mo agoIn fairness, a false positive is better than a false negative.
- jrootabega 1mo agoBut many false positives lead to a real positive being ignored as a false positive.
- jrootabega 1mo agoIt should at least notify you and give you the opportunity to cancel the alert within a few seconds
- gadders 1mo agoIt tried to, but a relatively new watch and not an easy button combo.
