Gosh, this site wants to charge me 84 cents for some terrible algorithmic music. It would be a hard sell at no cost already.

  Thanks for the feedback on pricing. Yes, I am continuously updating the algebra and synthesis schematics to improve the quality of music. When you do find sample packs online that you like, how much do you typically pay for them? What value did you find in that asset?

    I don't use sample packs much, just the occasional loop that comes with Kontakt or similar products. If I may be honest, I think the product doesn't make sense - and I speak as someone who has composed music professionally. I could see myself paying for a generator VST that I can use organically with my other tracks but I'd never go to a site to download a generated, yet static, pattern that I'd later use in a composition.

      Good feedback. An in-DAW generation VST is indeed something we could cook up! Glad to hear there is interest in that. I agree the current workflow can improve, which is why the next release will feature "Conductor" mode: a 7-track synthesizer (one track per octave) all working together to create a complete passage of music. Each of the tracks can choose a starter template from: Loop, Theme & Variation, Call & Response, Stream

Always amusing seeing software people treating music creation as some algo problem to solve. It’s always the same basic 12 tone, equal temperament stuff (“aha, THE FIX”), strict on the grid, with no awareness of rhythm, modes or socio-cultural background behind the use of them. Their “theory” articles are equally bad.

  Yes today the application is configured to create 12-ET music. The algebra behind it is capable of representing any tuning system or music system in folk music on earth. I live in the United States, so my first market is logically the customer base nearby.

Am I crazy or is there no way to actually hear wtf this is supposed to be selling??? "Audition stems" goes to a tone wheel but nothing actually does anything?? God I hate this. Vibe-Coded App About a Topic I Just Learned About, by AI, for AI. Vibe Theory replaces real ideas with a chatgpt conversation I had for 5 minutes. Access confusing buzzwords, sticky lingo parroted by LLMs, and adaptable blorg zorgations crafted for immediate, slopworthy internet points.

  Below the tone wheel should be a "Synthesize Stems" button which generates a list of midi examples, each with an "Audition" button that plays the midi.

Instead of calling out the obvious low-effort AI prose and project, I'll take this opportunity to recommend checking out hooktheory for some actual interesting analysis of music theory and songs.

  Hey! I've been working on these articles for about 3 months each. There will be one released about every two months, because performing research, writing an article, and editing into a communicable tone that speaks to anybody takes a lot of time.

I'm a musician and I am not seeing why I would want this. If this is trying to help musicians that don't know theory, it should start from simple chords and expand those in different ways that demonstrate an improvement. Currently the examples are pretty simple and don't sound good to my ear.

  Thanks for the feedback! The current stem synthesizer is intended to help you fill specific gaps in a project. For example, if you have a 16 bar section and just aren't sure what to put there, you can use Monic Theory to dial the settings matching your project and find some options. The next feature is "multitrack mode" where you synthesize up to 7 tracks in parallel, all in cohort of the same project.
