Can’t even get my friends to buy a used electric car instead of a diesel. Which is an improvement in drivability and comfort - maybe a mild inconvenience for some. Imagine trying to make humans do larger changes in their lives. I think, this won’t happen voluntarily.

Long term, we must ban ICE vehicles regardless of people fetishizing them. EVs are cheaper to run but I would never own one or a hybrid with an NMC-based pack because it's just too dangerous in deflagration. LFP isn't good enough in terms of safety either. When a vehicle with sodium, certified solid state, or ProLogium gets here, it resembles a Slate, and charges in 20 minutes at 100kW's, then I'll buy one.
