You're setting yourself up for a lonely life.
I think it is like CGI in movies, in the beginning it was often obvious and jarring. Over time as it gets better the obviousness of AI images will be much harder to spot and they will be common without being noteworthy.
- wateralien 1mo ago> You're setting yourself up for a lonely life. What a ridiculous conclusion jump. It's the complete opposite of that. I prefer human things, human interaction, with human beings involved, which in some way reflect the human experience.

- atomicfiredoll 1mo agoYou're just putting words in their mouth. They didn't say any of that. Re-read their comment.

- eks391 1mo ago> lonely life. Maybe they are hoping robots will replace human interaction, connection and intimacy like in some of those future distopian movies I want to say /s but I'm sure lots of people are looking forward to this because they are already lonely
- echelon 1mo agoNo. This anti-AI attitude is getting old and tired. I'm getting sick of people insulting the work that I do, calling it lazy (it's not), and saying I should do things in the manner they prefer. I'm also sick of the childish death threats. If you don't want to interact with me because of AI, good riddance.
- lins1909 1mo ago> I'm getting sick of people insulting the work that I do Do you do it, or does AI do it?
- echelon 1mo agoIf it takes me two days to build a service or make a short film, I'm doing the work. It doesn't will itself into existence. If I use an excavator to dig a ditch, it doesn't mean I didn't dig the hole.

- AlienRobot 1mo agoSomehow we managed to live this whole time without generative AI. Why do we need it now?
- toasty228 1mo ago"Just eat the shit, everyone is eating the shit, eat the shit with us or you'll be a lonely weirdo" hm, ok
- jollyllama 1mo agoThis is kind of like saying in the 2000s "If you won't listen to auto-tuned music, you're in for a lonely life." There's entire subcultures where you can avoid that, for example, fans of the Grateful Dead (who include many successful people, such as Jerome Powell, but that's another story). Anyway, they don't tend to be lonely people.
- functionmouse 1mo agoSpineless post
- account42 1mo agoWell it just so happens that I am mostly avoiding post 2000 movies and overuse of CGI is a big part of it.
