It does make me wonder if we would see similar things in the software industry if it had a similar heroism attached.
- altairprime 2mo agoClifford Stoll :) Which is an interesting case b/c he laid out his motivations as they evolved in Cuckoo's Egg, from 'that's weird' to 'grudgingly working with government' to being an eternal Hero of the Net. Sadly, very very few of those over time.
