'high-trust society' is quite often the same, as a sibling demonstrates. These two terms pretty much never appear simultaneously in an argument except as a dogwhistle.
- TimTheTinker 2mo agoI think the term "dogwhistle" should be retired. It's only ever used to dismiss someone's argument instead of engaging with them. Bad arguments should be quickly responded to and shown false. Calling them "dogwhistles" doesn't change anyone's opinion.
