- thatxliner 2mo agoI mean...it isn't that bad. The actual limitation is the resolution of your smartphone screen
- razodactyl 2mo agoI had a quick glance at source. Base64 and TCP? There's certainly room for a quicker protocol and delta streaming with adaptive bitrate. I reckon Fable could get that implemented quite fast. Unity dependency seems required for cardboard vr? Is that library worth the bloat?
- thatxliner 2mo agoThis was originally implemented wayyy before AI got good; I just never bothered to package it for HN until today. Also, it was an excuse to learn Unity :P A faster streaming protocol is definitely up next though

- hungryhobbit 2mo agoI don't understand: why would anyone strap their phone to their face? What problem does this solve?

- yjftsjthsd-h 2mo agoAs the readme says, > No expensive headset. No cloud streaming. Just a phone, a cardboard viewer, and an arguably unreasonable amount of curiosity. Even a cheap dedicated VR headset is hundreds of dollars. Cardboard is cheap.
