My understanding is that this an essential component of their "Chronicles" database system. I'd be curious to hear more recent perspectives.
- nubinetwork 2mo agoI know a caboodle/cache admin at $dayjob, and I've never heard them mention chronicles... is it more of an internal codename than an actual function of the db?
- HillRat 2mo agoChronicles is the OLTP MUMPS instance; Clarity is the EHR OLAP DB; Caboodle is the data warehouse for SlicerDicer, all separate systems within EPIC.
- nubinetwork 2mo agoThats kindof complicated... I remember when an EMR only needed one sysadmin and no specialist knowledge... on our old system any errors were handled by the vendor.
