- atmavatar 2mo agoUnder Obama's deal with them, Iran was quite content to not have nukes. Had the deal not been torn up, they'd likely never acquire nuclear capability in our lifetimes. Trump's unprovoked attacks on them were not only extremely costly due to the Strait of Hormuz closing, but it underscored why Iran absolutely needs nukes to protect themselves. It's virtually guaranteed they'll attain nuclear weapons inside the next decade now. That's what happens when you elect a narcissistic fraudster to run your country and its foreign policy.

- sanderjd 2mo agoYou are the one in this thread who comes off as gullible. You seem to have bought the post-facto and baldly pretextual narrative that the war both had the objective of delivering Iran of nuclear capability and is achieving that objective.
- RenThraysk 2mo agoYou want to try that again? Because that is the opposite of what I believe. Recent event was the continuing effort to prevent Iran getting nukes since 2005.
- sanderjd 2mo agoNo it wasn't. That wasn't even the second pretext they tried to convince us of, it was like the third or fourth one.
