The article just sort of stops. Was the ram upgrade helpful? How was the mouse - was it choppy like in Windows XP as discussed at the top of the article? (And whatever happened to twm, possibly the lightest window manager around?)

- 2b3a51 2mo agoHave a look at MWM (Motif Window Manager). Colour icons (gasp) and windows that actually maximise. Packaged in Debian so I suppose around in Arch repositories somewhere.

- 2b3a51 2mo agotwm still around but might be a separate package these days and not in X11 core. CWM (Calm Window Manager) from OpenBSD is available in portable form and packaged for Debian. Very light and good for tiny screens (little decoration).
