Every time I get excited about Grok’s performance on benchmarks and demo videos, I test it myself and end up disappointed.
I'll give this one a try with a grain of salt and lowering my levels of expectations
- giancarlostoro 2mo agoMy only complaint is that a $40 plan gets you very little usage out of Grok Build. 8 hours for an entire month, that is definitely not worth $40.

- paradox460 2mo agoInstead of a VPN, might I suggest running litellm proxy on a server in the US and connecting to that
- XCSme 2mo agoWhat would the advantage be?
- paradox460 2mo agoYou have control over how the connections work and what they do, rather than just relying on the VPN exit server routing to get you to the right place. With things like a fly machine or whatever, you might even be able to run it for free
- trollbridge 2mo agoI concur that GLM-5.2 still seems "better" in my experimentation I did with it tonight, although Grok 4.5 is cheap if you can tolerate the way a Cursor subscription works.
