Man if only there was a solution to this. It's almost as if we could design our environment to minimize this (bike- and pedestrian-friendly routes) and then deal with the aftermath if it happens anyway (showers).
I do not consider employers that do not offer showers.
- NoSalt 3mo agoI have NEVER worked at a place that offered showers. Plus, along with the extra commute time of walking or cycling, a shower adds another ≈ 20 minutes that I am not doing what I prefer ... which is not working.
- fuzzy2 3mo agoTo each their own, of course, but: If you're within a 1-hour walking or cycling radius (and you have access to showers at your destination), this is no problem at all. Plus, the mental and physical health benefits are simply incredible.
