Show HN: Bio Glyph – Turn Your Face into a One-Line Drawing
- persedes 4mo agoVery cool and love the animation, but does not seem to work well with beards :D
- subairui 4mo agoThanks, Persedes! You're right, beards and hats are tricky. I haven't found a reliable way to handle them yet. If you have any ideas on how to solve this, I'd love to hear them. Contributions and PRs are always welcome: https://github.com/pearmini/bio-glyph https://github.com/pearmini/bio-glyph
- pixel_popping 4mo agoYou should fork it into `bio-glyph-bear-enhanced`
- luckykiddie 4mo agocool and nice site, but it doesn't look like me
- subairui 4mo ago[dead]
- tombylin 4mo agoHey, after I tried it, I couldn't generate my avatar and got the message 'Failed to load models: Failed to fetch'
- sentacraft 4mo agoI was truly impressed by this archive page. It looks like a piece of art that I could stop and contemplate for a long time.
- subairui 4mo agoThank you so much! That means a lot to me. I was hoping the archive would feel like a collective artwork created by everyone who participated!
- subairui 3mo agoBy the way, I have another project called Name2Tree, which transforms your name into a unique, deterministic tree. It also features an archive page that you might enjoy exploring. If you're interested, check it out here: https://tree.bairui.dev/ https://tree.bairui.dev/
- sakuraiben 3mo agowould love to see more lines on my face
- subairui 3mo agoLol, what's in your mind? sakuraiben!
- subairui 3mo agoI just added a tiny database to the project, so generated faces can now be added to the community archive! Feel free to contribute yours! https://bio.bairui.dev/ https://bio.bairui.dev/
- joey9prints 3mo agoCool idea, but my image came out a bit generic, any way to make it more detailed? For inspiration, you might want to reference Brooklyn based artist Paul Richard, he does incredible single line drip work. It might help to improve your ai model. Also, do you store / keep my image? just curious. :)
- subairui 3mo agoThanks, joey9prints! Yes, it's a bit generic right now, and there's definitely room for improvement. I just checked out Paul Richard's work—it looks amazing and highly relevant. Also, by default, I don't store either the original image or the generated result. The generated image is only saved if you explicitly click "Archive," and you can delete it whenever you'd like.
- subairui 3mo agoI just added tooltips on Generate and Add to Archive so it’s clear your camera image isn’t stored, and only the line drawing is saved if you choose to archive it. Thanks for the great feedback again!
