the pied-a-terre tax is simply and perfectly "taxation without representation" that is how it was designed, it only applies to people who are ineligible to vote in New York City, there is no way to push back. As such, it's really quite disgusting, abuse of power motivated by pure greed, violating literally the founding democratic principle of these United States. Our tree of liberty needs watering. (I do not have to pay this tax, but I am a principled person)
