Modern transformer-based STT architectures are complex but many are abstractly not entirely unlike putting the results of standard SST through an LLM with the prompt "clean this up & make it make sense". The behavior is trained in rather than prompted but the result is similar. Obviously this results in hallucinations, mistaken implications, & inaccurately assumed context.
