- buzzerbetrayed 5mo agoAn offense, sure. But it’s not a “crime” in the US.
- thayne 5mo agoNot for the student. But at least in some states, parents can potentially face jail time if their children miss enough school.
- portmanteur 5mo agoKamala Harris bragged about enforcing this law against parents in California. That’s the only way that I know that it’s an actual law that gets enforced because I had never heard of laws like this before, and I grew up in US public schools in the South.
