- cortesoft 5mo agoI do find it somewhat interesting that crypto mining firms are perfectly placed to pivot to AI. Both ventures involve building out large clusters of machines to use GPUs to convert electricity into money.
- jaredklewis 5mo agoI would have thought the bulk of the crypto mining was done using ASICs. Still a lot of overlap with running a datacenter of ASICs and a datacenter of GPUs, but both are significant capital investments.

- vrighter 5mo agocrypto mining firms have specialized asics for mining. They are incapable of doing anything else.
- sph 5mo agoDude, blockchain was never this bad. There is no way to escape it.
