- papalalu 14y agoit appeals for the same reason instagram appeals - why not leave your photos as they were shot, without losing detail by adding filters? i like it, it's cute, cheap enough to be a fun gift, and the kind of ridiculous steps your photos have to go through appeals. kind of like http://instacrt.com/ http://instacrt.com/
- zeru 14y agoWell, even though I dont use instagram, however I can see why some people would. :p Cute, fun gift? I guess yeah, but again, why only instagram? Oh well. I realize of course that I'm not at all their target audience.
- bradleyland 14y agoWhy this product? Nostalgia. Why only Instagram? Because it's good product alignment. Instagram also sells Nostalgia and has a huge user base. If you haven't seen it before, take a moment to watch this clip from an American television show called Mad Men. It's a show about a group of people working at Madison Avenue (in New York City) advertising firms in the 1960's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suRDUFpsHus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suRDUFpsHus I felt pretty moved the first time I saw that clip. I still feel moved when I watch it. For a moment, I wanted a slide projector. All of the people I know who also watch the show felt it was a master stroke. Nostalgia is a powerful selling force.
