  Really? Front End is the customer-facing part of the web site. It's also the part of the stack, that non-technical people, including management, have opinions on. Or do you mean something else?

    They might have opinions about it, but look at the pay for frontend engineers at the same company. It's not uncommon to see the same seniority be 20% lower than a backend role.
