As someone who's been trying to do something VERY similar (port Mac OS 9 to the Nintendo Wii U), all I can say is I'm 1) absolutely impressed, and 2) absolutely encouraged, as my project keeps telling me "this is impossible" at every opportunity.
- blkhp19 5mo agoVery cool! I'd love to learn more. That seems extra challenging considering Mac OS 9 is closed source!
- itomato 5mo agoYou are at a slight disadvantage without XNU and Darwin sources, but you can have leaked System 7.1 source, Ghidra and MCP to help make up the difference. Godspeed.
- stuaxo 5mo agoNice! Are there one or two instructions that aren't available ? I guess it might be possible to trap and emulate those?
