Aren't most Show HN's plugs to whatever they're presenting?

  I mean, sure but I think it would be helpful to explain a couple of things. How it was decided which vendor is an alternative, what were the criteria etc How can this be kept up to date? Can I submit missing data, if so how? This isn't unique at all, so what sets this one apart from the others?

      Interesting, didn't know that existed... I would've still put it in the submission itself but that makes sense
