Tldraw is moving their tests to a closed source repo to prevent a Slop Fork
- armchairhacker 7mo agohttps://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/issues/8082 https://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/issues/8082 They’re actually not, apparently it’s “more of a joke” (https://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/issues/8082#issuecomment-3964650501 https://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/issues/8082#issuecomment-39...)
- verdverm 7mo agoThe most recent comment from the CEO is well written and reasoned, worth the read (for other HNers reading this) I'm not sure I buy the "joke" part, I read that as part of the walking back
- zahlman 7mo agoI don't think it could have worked anyway, given https://trufflesecurity.com/blog/anyone-can-access-deleted-and-private-repo-data-github https://trufflesecurity.com/blog/anyone-can-access-deleted-a... . The best they could do is hide new test material, and then only if the private repo is kept distinct and isn't recognized by GitHub as a fork.
