Couldn't you argue that philanthropy is really just a product of the market?
- barrkel 18y agoAnd in so far as government represents the interests of its electorate, so is it. Of course, campaign finance distorts the incentives, which is why it needs to be reformed.
- MikeCapone 18y agoPolticians are a self-selected groups, but even if they weren't, they'd never could really represent the "interests of the electorate". It's naive to think they could.
