Going all the way back to Windows 7 I preferred dragging to arrow keys, I legitimately don’t understand how that’s “terrible design” and not just a personal preference. I would suspect a sizable portion of Windows users didn’t even realize that snapping with the arrow keys was possible, since keyboard shortcuts are (generally) harder to discover than mouse actions.
