Nah, it's just a basic case of a pivot from a company that previously offered a great open source (MIT licensed) product written in Go that offer WebRTC-based backbone to build audio and video sharing products upon: https://github.com/livekit/livekit https://github.com/livekit/livekit
The AI stuff that the original LiveKit company put on top of it (to pivot to more investor-friendly endeavours) is not that relevant in this case, in my humble opinion.
- alias_neo 8mo agoAh that's it. I made the mistake of visiting their website which is heavy on marketing and low on what the heck their product actually is. Makes more sense reading the Github (though that too is pushing the AI angle more than A/V stuff.
