What are you talking about? The US navy protects the commercial shipment routes around the world.
- cjs_ac 8mo agoBefore the US Navy did that, the Royal Navy did. The work needs to be done, but it doesn't have to be the US doing it.

- nullocator 8mo agoLikely soon corporate owned drones will protect commercial shipping routes I would think. Not sure if bad actors (pirates?!) will have their own drones.

- layer8 8mo agoI’m sure that China would be happy to take over.
- cmxch 8mo agoAnd it would be quite hard for China to protect anything that the US or private actors could just sink and enjoy the protection of the US government. This is not like the Philippines where China can roll them over.
