The GF and I have had multiple conversations about how all these seemingly intelligent people don't: 1) care about anybody else; 2) realize that this too will negatively affect their lives; and I've come to the conclusion that these people are devoid of empathy, and they are narcissists who view themselves as being too important and powerful to be messed with. They'd never do that to me! That would never happen to me!
- spwa4 8mo agoI don't agree. They're not stupid and they're out to give advantages to themselves. More money, more power, more ... and these actions, especially if justified like you do, will absolutely fail at that. If the US as a whole becomes poorer, being a billionaire will mean a lot less. I mean I agree they're lacking in empathy, right. But this is not a cartoon. Lacking in empathy is not a goal in itself for these people. It's just not.
