If history teaches us anything, a democracy won't emerge. Nothing good comes from the US intervening in foreign affairs. This is being done to the benefit of the invaders, not those being invaded.

The last time the US did something similar was in Panama in 1989, and that country seems to be a thriving democracy now. Too early to know how this will play out, but things are more nuanced than you're suggesting.

- dannyfreeman 9mo agoA key difference is that we didn't act alone in World War II, and we were fighting very legitimate aggression (fascism).
