    Sure, but fear has little basis in statistics. People still worry about plane crashes and instead opt to drive.

  In NYC, private vehicles are responsible for 10x the deaths of humans than crime on the subway. As such, I'm in much more (10x, in fact) danger from someone driving than I am from a fellow subway rider. But yeah. The subway is way too dangerous /eyeroll. Please.
