If you can avoid reading too many comments I find it to be fine, I too have ditched all social media except YouTube and HN. I find YT doesn't pester me with toxic content, and HN you kind of just gotta read a few comments only :-)
- damnesian 11mo agoI don't think the comments are the problem. It's the doomscrolling. On YT, that would be shorts. Here, I guess it would be skimming thread titles and occasionally checking out the link. More convo = less of that nonstop dopamine uptake train. At least I think.
