One thing that isn’t mentioned in the article is that driver’s education in US is a fucking sad joke, and the driving tests even more so. Many mention rules about yielding, and having to stop when turning right on red: most of the drivers only know a fraction of the rules. They never learned most of them. I’m not sure about this, but my understanding is that some states don’t even require a license if you are older.
