- phendrenad2 11mo agoBack when I used to go to conferences, I realized that all talks fell into two categories: (1) side-projects and (2) sales pitches Cool new language? Side-project How I built X in Y days? Sales pitch for the cloud provider they used Keynote? Sales pitch (buy my course!) Why you're doing X wrong? Sales pitch (come work for us!) How <bigco> sped up our API: Side-project (the feature isn't in prod and never will be) Hard to imagine conferences got good at some point. Did they?
