I set up my personal mail server https://github.com/docker-mailserver/docker-mailserver https://github.com/docker-mailserver/docker-mailserver and I have wrote about it here https://gioorgi.com/2020/mail-server-on-docker https://gioorgi.com/2020/mail-server-on-docker I am GMail-free from 2020 and I am a lot happier. I keep my GMail account, but I use just as failsafe or as seconday account. In the meantime, I have very little trouble managing my mail-server.
