- reify 1y agoI keep a list of the stores that have CCTV and Facial recognition. I do not go into those stores. I'm not a shoplifter and do not want to be treated like one. John Lewis, Next, USC, Hobbycraft, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Booths, Costcutter, Londis, Nisa Local, SPAR, Village Wholefoods. These have proper facial recognition installed in store. Iceland, House of Fraser, Sports Direct, Home Bargains, Co-op, ASDA, Budgens, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Primark, farmfoods. The last time I went into my local CO-OP they had a covid era, "Our CCTV and newly installed facial recognition system is keeping you safe and protecting other shoppers" bullshit looped over the speaker system.
