- Projectiboga 1y agoI was about to comment on this, Astor Place Riot - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astor_Place_Riot https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astor_Place_Riot Basically two seperate Theatre movements, one favored by the posh thr other favored by the working class. The two scenes came to an actual riot on Astor Place and lead to the wealthy retreating from class mixing.
