  Thiel has to be read as a counter to Hannah Arendt, Martha Nussbaum etc. Neither side has perfect solutions about how society should handle complexity, chaos and unpredictability. So its always going to be an oscillation between the two camps. Hopefully more and more people realize it doesn't have to be an antagonistic back and forth. Requires constant daily reminders of humility and recognition we chimps are chimps not gods.
