- s1mon 1y agoAnd "California" is a huge area. I doubt that the entire state is ideal for solar. I was hoping to see an actual map and zoom in on my neighborhood. I want to know if it makes sense to install on my house. This is zero help.
- maigret 1y agoYou need to ask a contractor to check your roof orientation and potential shade sources (trees, big mountain? You should be aware about those already). Other factors are pretty much not relevant. Also remember that light, not sun shine, matters. Light clouds might still allow the panels to work very efficiently.
- olddustytrail 1y agoSolar doesn't have to be "ideal" to be practical. The whole of the UK is north of California and solar is certainly deployed here.
