IRS chief says agency plans to end free filing program
- willprice89 1y agoTo clarify, they are discussing ending the "Direct File" program, which assists low-income people from certain states in submitting their tax returns. The "Free File Fillable Forms" program does not appear to be on the chopping block (yet).
