I really like the sources and amount of content you picked out. Good choice of a domain as well. But like sangupta and amirf I think you should improve the UI a bit; maybe have a go with twitter's bootstrap? One thing I really would like is that you skip the two columns and narrowed it down do one column and worked a bit on the navigation so that it's on one line or grouped in some shape or form.
