As a once full-time designer turned full-time engineer, I totally agree with the author. There are plenty of other more creative design tools - but Figma's success and ubiquity have locked many organisations into more limited, sometimes formulaic and un-creative design expressions. Also, I unfortunately don't feel that this is the ideal forum for this idea to get much support.
