Without habeas corpus, laws aren't worth the paper they're written on.
- penguin_booze 1y agoWithout the interpretation of laws in the same spirit in which it was written, laws are never worth anything. No amount of verbiage and legalese can convey the spirit, so laws, in any of its material form, are already a folly.
