For those who aren’t familiar with how it works: if you’re a CCP member, you belong organizationally to a Party branch, and you’ll have a liaison(a handler!) whose job is to keep contact with you. If your company or school has more than three Party members, you’re required (perhaps secretly) to set up a Party branch. So, in theory, the vast majority of US universities that admit students from Chinese institutions have an internal branch of the CCP hope everyone can sleep soundly :)
